

Phillip Bather is a litigation attorney at DarrasLaw where he represents insurance policyholders in insurance bad faith claims, complex individual disability matters and ERISA litigation. Throughout his years at DarrasLaw, Mr. Bather has recovered millions of dollars for disabled clients from all walks of life. Mr. Bather also serves as a mock trial coach for the Trial Advocacy Honors Program at his alma mater, Southwestern Law School, where he received his J.D. and served on the Board of Governors for the Trial Advocacy Honors Program. As an advocate in the Trial Advocacy Honors Program, Mr. Bather took home honors in the St. John’s National Civil Rights Trial Competition which hosted 24 law schools from across the nation. Upon graduation, Mr. Bather was selected from his graduating class for the “Excellence in Trial Practice” Award given by the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Bather graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from Arizona State University. During college, Mr. Bather worked for KPNX, the NBC affiliate in Phoenix, Arizona, and was a sports anchor for Arizona State’s sports telecast, “Devils on the Deuce.”
Phil is admitted to practice in all California State and Federal District Courts. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, American Bar Association, the Litigation Section of the State Bar of California, Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and the Consumer Attorneys of California.
